This song is all about overcoming our inner demons, shaking off our troubles and worries and the things that are getting in our way. It’s about finding that strength within yourself to get through challenges knowing, as the lyrics say, it’s “always darkest before the dawn”. Lead singer Florence Welch is an incredible vocalist who breathes an inspiring strength and feeling into all of her songs and none more so than this. Here she is performing a great acoustic version of this tune taken from the band’s second studio album, Ceremonials. Enjoy!
