This is one of Sting’s signature songs. It’s an incredibly visual song, apparently inspired by the view from his home in the English countryside. We’ve likely all been in a place where, at some point, we’ve looked out onto a scene of nature and felt something that made a real impression on us. Perhaps we were in awe of a sunset, felt inspired by a panorama or were helped to come to a greater sense of peace in ourselves by the sound of running water. There’s something that taking a moment to appreciate nature does to help us get back in touch with and remember what’s most important in life, love and work.
