Everybody, Somebody, Nobody, Anybody,

This is a powerful short poem that might resonate with you!

WHOSE JOB IS IT ?

This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.

Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.

Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job.

Everybody thought Anybody could it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it.

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done!

This humorous tale is actually more accurate than perhaps we would like to acknowledge. We have all been in situations where we know something important needs to be done, in the office or workplace or home, and yet it doesn’t happen. Why?

Legends take responsibility for (or are at least concerned and pay interest to) the important jobs, even if the jobs are not directly theirs to do. This is because anything that is important to the overall success of the business, family or team is important to a legend!

Does this sound familiar to you?! What has been your experience of creating an effective workplace? Share in the comments below…
