1. It doesn’t matter how many people tell you to pursue your passion or how many times you watch Steve Jobs’ Stanford commencement speech, you’ll make excuses not to do what you want to do. 

2. You’ll believe the excuse of “I’m not weird and I want to be normal. Only weird obsessive people pursue their passion.”

3. You’ll think if you just work really really hard you will have a great career but you’re wrong. 

4. You’ll think having an interest in something is the same as having a passion for something. 

5. You won’t know that passion is your greatest love and it will help you create the highest expression of your talent. 

6. You need 20 interests and one of them may grab you compared to all the others – that’s your passion!

7. You may not listen to the excuses in your head and find your passion but you will still fail…

8. You’ll use the excuse of having to sacrifice relationships, family and friends for the sake of your ambitions instead of seeing your goal as having balance across all areas. 

9. You’ll give into the voice in your head saying “If only I had…..”

10. The biggest thing keeping us from our passion is that we are afraid of pursuing it and afraid of what that might mean. That is why you are not going to have a great career….
